My www.tonyspapercrafts.com web site is the first one I have ever put together. Let me know what you think. There's bound to be some spelling mistakes. Send me your ideas of how to improve it or what you would like to see on it. I have a feeling I may live to regret saying that.. but what the heck. I'm too old to cry over on line mistakes! So don't hold back. Go for it while I'm still breathing. And you might be interested to know that I tried for months to find a web site builder that I could work with easily. Finally found it. Its great. I cant believe how fast I can make a web site. And the best bit is that you not only can get a web site builder for free but also the hosting. How good is that. But don't take my word for it...check it out yourself by clicking below.
Below are six of many paper craft projects you can create withthe 3D AccuCut bird die
Let me know what you think of this new 3D paper craft design that I'm working on. If it ends up being made into a 3D die you will be able to make lots of things with just this one shape. I named it..... The Change A Face Baby Pattern.
2. Next I made a "Face Changing Wall Picture" by stretching fabric (I used a gingham pattern) over a canvas frame.
You could use any type of contrasting or complimentary fabric that looks good against the colors of the paper or card you use to make the babies from.
Then I cut out three different pictures of cute babies and slid them under the baby bonnets
Then hammered a picture hanger hook into a wall
.....and hung my 3D paper sculpture art on it. You can change the face pictures as often as you like. Kids have got hundreds of them!
4. Next I made a Nursery Door Hanger with a different word balloon message to match what the baby was doing in the room at the time.
5. Then I glued one baby onto a baby shower gift bag
6. Then I reduced the same baby face pattern down and used it in scrap book pages

1. Scrapbook Pages
1. First thing I made from the pattern was a 3D Mobile for a children's bedroom, nursery or toy room
The baby was created first
Then I inserted a generic baby face under the bonnet
To change the face I found a photo of a baby, and using the generic face as a template, drew around it and cut the baby's face out.
Then I removed the old face and slide the cheeky one under the bonnet.
Next I added ribbons and embellishments and curled the arms forward slightly to give dimension and extra "movement."
I covered the dowel rods in crepe paper and hung the babies from them. You could use ribbon or wool.
And bingo, it was done. The finished mobile.
3. Mobiles For Weddings, Gifts, Fundraising, Home Business, Fetes and Craft Fairs
4. Adding the Cone die shape will let you create stunning Christmas and Wedding Table Center pieces
6. Paper or card birds glued onto a painted canvas frame will create spectacular 3D wall pictures for your home, gifts for friends or to sell.
Stretch patterned or textured fabric onto the frame and then glue the birds onto that. Add pearl studs onto the wings, then flowing ribbons and you can create a true work of art so easily.
5. The assembled bird shape can be glued to a painted or crepe paper covered stick. Wedding guests stand in two lines facing each other holding their doves up high to create a "Love Tunnel" for the bride and groom to walk through. What a great wedding picture that would make! If you do this PLEASE send me that photo!
Hey! My face is missing?

You can start your own home based paper craft businesses wiith my 3D cutting dies
My smallest size 3D bird die shape can embellish your gift wrapping...BUT If your dream is to have your own home paper craft business, but you could never find unique product designs that people would like to buy, then my dies could be just what you have been looking for. The shapes cross match and combine so that you can add your own embellishments, and creative flair to create your exclusive look.
Using my dies to start your home paper craft business has got to be one of the easiest and least expensive ways to do it.
You could be selling your own range of paper products at fetes and craft fairs within two weeks at very little cost.
Make products as you require them. No need for stacks of storage space. No dead stock you have paid for but cant sell.
With my cutting dies you can make a few products to try out, adding embellishments until you create the unique gifts that everyone will want to buy from you.
Create a whole range of mobiles, wall pictures, wedding table center pieces and other unique gifts to sell that your customers wont find any where else. A TIP. Sign each of your creations to brand them as your original creations. It gives them that extra artists "hand made and created" touch. Which of course they are!
Don't forget to let me know how you are going and send me photos of the things you create with my 3D cutting dies and I will put them on my web site along with your contact details so people can buy them from you if they wish.
Do please ask me any questions you like. If I don't know the answer I will try to find out from those that do.
SO GOOD LUCK IF YOU DO START YOUR NEW PAPER CRAFT HOME BUSINESS VENTURE.
Make and sell them to display home builders.
Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs on stage in Sydney, Australia at Surf City in 1964. I'm the left handed one trying to fool every one that I can play the guitar. Look at the hair! I knew I had some once.
Wedding table center piece made by using my large size bird die, and the bow, cone, banner and curls dies.
My name is Tony and I am crazy about brads, acid free paper, glue ink, pads, straight and decorative edged rules, pens and dangerously sharp knives, box and card making, and anything that I can design and make in paper.
The school I went to in England had 699 unruly kids attending it. Only one boy was obsessed with paper and cardboard. Me! I was elelven years of age when I discovered three facts that were to turn my life around and establish its purpose and direction for all time.
Two years ago (purely by chance) I wandered into a retail shop called Paper Squared that turned out to be Australia's largest paper craft store. As I watched customers purchase paper studs, inks, knives, ribbons, glues and embellishments I was impressed by their enthusiasm. Having been a tad preoccupied over the last 60 years exploring different creative paths and careers that included becoming a professional soft toy designer, author and pop star in an iconic rock n roll band called Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs, I was totally unaware that you "young ones" had also discovered paper and cardboard.
And when Vicky, the operator of the shop told me that you could now buy your own home cutting machines and cutting dies, what a revelation that was. You could have knocked me over with a sheet of 80gsm acid free A4 paper.
The longer I stood in the shop, the more obvious it became that the reason paper crafting had become the world wide creative and social networking phenomenon it is today, was due to people like Vicky, her passion and enthusiasm to papercrafting and that of every one of her customers.
After leaving the store I talked to hundreds of people in the Australian paper craft industry and made some great new friends. Peter Roznicki being one of them. He operates the Auscraftnet web site. I also met Alison Kane and Kate Cornelius. of www.cuttingart.com.au the enthusiastic distributors of Accucut cutting machines and dies in Australia. I spoke to the editors of paper craft magazines and the manufacturers of craft tools, cutting dies, glazes, inks, beads, buttons, ribbons, bows and paper. Long and fruitful discussions took place between myself and many papercrafters. Then I went to America and did it all over again.
While in America I visited a company called AccuCut and met Greg Gaggini and his talented team. They make the robust Grande Mark cutting machines, paper craft, quilting and educational cutting dies that Kate and Alison distribute in Australia. I showed Greg some of my designs and as we chewed on tender Omaha steak (they must feed those cows with butter and cream) we swopped ideas about the future directions paper crafting would take. I met Jen Cramer and Traci Armbrust and later Amber Gustafson. These ladies sure know their stuff and not only have been of great help to me but demonstrated great patience as I designed a new range of cutting dies exclusively for AccuCut. Like you, I'm always looking for new creative challenges so I created die shapes that could offer more creative scope. Sorry but that's not true. They offer a whole lot more! These dies can be used not only for scrap booking, stamping and card making but adapt to create many other different types of paper craft projects. More value for money and far more creative and commercial options for teachers and home business operators.
I can't wait to see how you use them in your paper craft projects. So please do send me photos so that I can "hang them" up in a Paper Crazy Gallery on this web site.
I've just received a set of the dies myself so over the weeks and months to come I'll add pictures on this web site of the many projects that you can create with them. I'll also pretend that my name is Spielberg, borrow a wig and make some video workshops. It's easier to learn how to make something when you can see it being done. Beats reading instructions hands down. When was the last time any guy that you know read instructions? Below is a short description of one of the eight die shapes.
THE 3D EXPANDING "ACCORDION" MULTI PHOTO FRAME DIES I know that's a mouthful descriptive, but this die shape allows you to increase by five times or more the amount of pictures you can insert into your scrapbook pages whilst creating a pull out three dimensional display of each page. Once you've surprised your friends with this neat effect, just fold the frame down and close the scrapbook flat. This idea was just begging to be called Flap Booking.
3D GREETING CARDS If you enjoy making greeting cards the very same accordion die will let you create many different combinations of three dimensional "message cards" that you can embellish and personalize as you like. Glue two frames back to back to create a "double picture frame" that will hold even more photos yet still fold flat for storage.
3D PHOTO FRAMES The same accordion dies let you create really unique multiple photo frames that start off flat, expand to reveal many other photos and then folds flat. Great for baby or wedding photos or any other theme that you wish to make. By adding ribbons, studs, stickers, paint, different card stock or my bows, curls, bird and banner shapes you be amazed at the stunning effects you can create. When you punch shapes around the edges of the frames you get even more effects. If you use these dies please do send me photos of what you create.
USE THE EIGHT DIES TO START YOUR OWN HOME PAPER CRAFTS GIFT BUSINESS OR SCHOOL FUNDRAISING PROJECT. Have you ever dreamed of arriving early in the morning at your local community hall, sports field, church or school hall and then quickly assemble you own stall. Soon its displayed to overflowing with products you have made and you're ready to welcome the hundreds of thousands of people that flock to craft fairs everyweekend. All eager to buy hand made gifts. "Yes. yes" you say, I would love to do that, but I can't think of what to make". And that is the main reason why people don't attempt to operate their own home based paper craft business. Many of those that do, often shut up shop because they run out of product ideas and so miss out on a share of the hundreds of thousands of dollars spent every weekend by people seeking hand made gifts at craft fairs. My eight 3D AccuCut cutting dies can help solve that problem and get you up and running quickly. The dies mix and match enabling you to create not only embellishments for scrapbooking, card making and papercrafting, but very unique three dimensional mobiles, wedding table center pieces, wall pictures, nursery and home decor items. Gifts anyone would be delighted to purchase..... or receive! To the person that receives it, a hand made gift represents time, attention and thoughtfulness. Receivers of such gifts are extremely flattered and often become very emotional. As does the creator and giver!

HOW I BECAME PAPER CRAZY. The first 699 things I ever created out of paper and card were something I called "Head Bangers". Every kid in the school I attended eagerly accepted one in return for giving me comics, sweets, lollies, biscuits and all or part of their pocket money. At that time in my life, these were luxuries I had not experienced. The kids loved the Head Bangers but the teachers sure didn't. But by the time they had tracked down who had made them I could have opened a shop! In fact I did! But that is another story. Since then I have never lost interest in all forms of paper crafting but in particular Paper Sculpture. It's the creation in paper or card three dimensional replications of any object, shape or design and was first practiced by the Chinese centuries ago. Many of the techniques of Paper Sculpting can be adapted or amalgamated with or used to enhance scrap booking, card making, stamping, punching or any other form of paper crafting. This is what I am excited about.
PASS YOUR GIFT OF CREATIVITY ON TO SOMEONE ELSE I'm hoping you will agree that the feeling us creative types get when we show something we have made in paper to our family or friends, is unlike any other. It's one hell of a confidence booster. So I firmly believe you should pass this feeling onto others by showing them how to make the things you have created and especially to children. By doing this you receive another bonus. You feel good all over again and in the process we keep paper crafting alive and growing. And inevitably someone you have taught, shows you something you did not know.
Oh yes....before I forget. I need to tell you that this web site is the very first one I have ever built from scratch by myself and had on line. And yep......I do know its not perfect by any means but hopefully you wont get too picky about it and over time with your help and suggestions I can improve it. So bye for now because I'm off to do just that. Big time!
If this machine had been available when I was operating my home business all those years ago, I am sure I would have tripled my income and saved thousands of dollars by not having to buy commercial cutting dies, large amounts of paper and then have to pay the cost of commercial printers to die cut the paper for me. This home cutting machine and the dies, eradicate all of that and will become the backbone of your new home business venture. Yes I will advise you as much as I can, but the only person that can actually make it happen is you. It's your dream. Commit to it, and don't forget to include your passion.
"The things in paper you make and do, will motivate others to try it too"
I once made paper sculpture mobiles and sold them to over 300 toy, gift, chemist, greeting card, children's wear and stationery and shops all over Australia. Also did a roaring trade at school, city, country and church craft fairs. That is
1.The fact that there are many ways that you can bend, crease, fold, paint, sculpt, design, make and create with paper.
2. The fact that things called books told me what was, what is and what might be.
3.The fact that girls were much smarter and superior to boys in all ways that really mattered. I lived in hope there would come a day that one of them might acknowledge that I existed!
Then I stopped fooling around and got back to finishing this web site. Or at least finished enough to get it on line.
why I know that this type of home business can work for you to. I'm happy to give any advice and help that I can, including how to make a simple, inexpensive, lightweight, fold away display stand for use at those craft fairs I know you will attend. You'll be able to create eye popping displays with this stand. Setting up and running costs of a home based paper crafting business are low compared to almost any other operation. You make products as you need them, and if you find yourself a friendly local printer they will give you off cut paper very cheap or often for free.
A CUTTING MACHINE This is the one other vital ingredient you will need. I've looked at them all and I can tell you that if you are serious about paper crafting or starting you own home business, then you need to get one that is sturdy, reliable and built like a tank. I don't endorse or recommend anything that is second rate so that is why I choose this machine. The AccuCut Grande Mark. It's a beauty.
"I believe that this machine is a time saving, money making investment."

MAKE MY PAPER BIRD ACTUALLY FLY I've just worked out a way to make the assembled smallest size bird shape hover in mid air just on front of you and fly away when you try to catch it. This is a beautiful effect and always gives people a big surprise. I will show you how to do this very soon. Its very easy to make. (It's good to bring a bit of fun into ones life every now and then.)
